So in order to use the songs I want to in my coursework I needed to get in contact with the owners to avoid copyright issues. For the song 'Come Get It Bae' by Pharrell Williams I had to email Sony Music. I simply explained that I wanted to use a small clip of the song for the trailer of a romantic comedy. I also stated that the trailer would not be released to the public and that it would never leave Oakgrove School.
As well as this I also used the song 'Close' by Nick Jonas, therefore I had to email Warner Music. I left a message on their website form that would hopefully get to the owners simply stating that I was planning on using the song in a 30 second clip of my trailer.
