Casey's Locket 2nd Draft

Second Draft

The improvements I planned on making from the first draft have mainly worked this time. I have managed to delete most of the dialogue and add more music into the correct bits as well as adding some sound effects such as the school bell ringing.
Next I have also managed to create my own production company sequence, although not amazing it is different to the others in my group as I didn't want to just have the logo. As well as this I have also added the title and the release date to the end of the film.
Moving on from this draft I only have a few tweaks to make, I need to refine my editing and just make sure everything flows. Then I may add in some frames with the actors name or maybe also include the tagline used on our poster. Using synergy will help link the products for the audience to see them as one piece.

Casey's Locket 1st Draft

First Draft

In order for my trailer to progress I now need to focus on editing it to make it seem more like a trailer, at the moment I do not like the fact that it is simple shot after shot with no pauses or real sense of story.
As well as this I want to add music to my film that is appropriate with the scenes and acting going on. I have also decided to minimise the amount of dialogue, I think it is extremely to execute the use of dialogue and do it well, therefore I plan on taking out as much as possible and even making the voice overs shorter so not to disturb the action.
Finally I also plan on adding the codes and conventions of a trailer, having the title of the film at the end and possibly creating my own production logo scene at the beginning.
So far I think that editing is going okay but now that most of the filming is out of the way I can focus on getting the last scenes filmed and then simply editing it to the best of my abilities.
